How to use Aquatabs
Aquatabs make uncertain water safe to drink in about thirty minutes. The method is the same whether you are treating a single bottle or a full tank. Always follow the pack for the tablet size and the exact amount for your volume of water.
- 1
Choose the right tablet for your water
Each Aquatabs size is made for a volume of water, from a single bottle to a large tank. The pack tells you which size and how many tablets to use for your volume, and the water calculator can help you decide.
- 2
Add the tablet to the water
Fill your clean container with the water to be treated, then drop in the correct tablet and let it dissolve. It effervesces as it releases its measured dose.
- 3
Wait about thirty minutes
Leave the water to stand for the time given on the pack, usually about thirty minutes, so the dose can work right through the water. Keep the container covered while it waits.
- 4
Your water is ready
After the wait, the water is safe to drink. A slight taste of chlorine is normal, and is a sign that the treatment is present and working.
A few tips
- Aquatabs work best on water that is already clear. Very cloudy or muddy water should be filtered through a clean cloth, or left to settle, first.
- Store the tablets in their sealed strip in a cool, dry place, and keep them away from children.
- Check the expiry date on the pack, and always use the tablet size that matches your volume of water.
